Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Project Manager is responsible for managing a number of projects at a given time. This individual is expected to maintain oversight into the direction, strategy, financial state and risks associated with these projects. Project Manager is additionally expected to nurture healthy relationships with our customers and vendors to create partnerships that drive business and the bottom line.

As Project Manager, you will play a critical role in the growth and development of others on your team as well as the improvement and development of company process, as appropriate. The efficient coordination and well-planned execution of our projects is crucial, and we are seeking dedicated and driving individuals to be an integral part of our success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain overall control of the projects assigned and effectively identify and manage risk.

Meaningful, consistent communication with leadership / executive team members regarding project status, risk and strategy / approach.

Establish project objectives and performance standards in accordance with company process, strategy and policy.

Effectively supervise and delegate day to day administration of a job or supervise project management team members in their daily tasks.

Train and effectively supervise / mentor members of the project management team in the process, expectations, strategy and culture of the company.

Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project.

Confirm and validate all logs required to track the progress of the project are created and accurately and promptly maintained in accordance with company process and expectation.

Train and effectively supervise maintenance of project required tracking devices.

Maintain consistent communication with general contractor / client to facilitate construction activities.

Monitor construction activities in coordination with Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure project is being built in accordance with the plan and production goals, on schedule, and within budget.

Utilize / leverage Area Superintendent to ensure a labor plan is in place and an accurate labor projection is provided monthly for use in project projections.

Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines, and under supervision of appropriate persons on leadership / executive team.

Work with risk manager to navigate and manage project risks and issues immediately as they arise.

Represent company/project in meetings with client, subcontractors, etc. in accordance with the expectations of our AUTHENTIC culture.

Provide monthly project updates to executive / leadership team as required.

Create a schedule of values that aligns with the billing strategy for the project.

Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interest and gain the buy in of general contractor into the billing strategy and financial requirements of the company during the project.
EDUCATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline preferred.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction. Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, and procurement required.

History / experience mentoring and managing others.

Strong existing client and vendor relationships a plus.

Ability to understand and follow company processes, while identifying efficiencies and improvements and bringing these ideas to the appropriate parties to improve process as appropriate.

Knowledge, focus on and commitment to safety protocols and procedure; addressing and bringing any safety issues to full resolution.

Proficient in technology - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), Bluebeam and Accubid / Change Order Pro preferred.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within the team, changing priorities for yourself and your team as necessary.

Ability to work within deadlines, prioritize tasks and embrace the journey as changes happen or challenges arise.

Strong communication skills focused on honest, brave communication and quick resolution.

Focus on building and maintaining healthy relationship at all levels, within and outside of the company

$105,000-$150,000 annually plus performance bonus, based on skillset and experience level.
