Project Accountant
(Billing and Collections)
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to support AIA progress billings, accounts receivable, collections, and lien releases in a construction environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and process AIA progress billings, T&M billings, and change orders.

Ensure billings align with contract terms, schedules of values, and approvals.

Monitor AR aging and support collections and dispute resolution.

Apply cash receipts and resolve unapplied or short payments.

Prepare, issue, and track conditional and unconditional lien releases.

Support month-end close, AR reconciliations, and WIP reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).

3+ years of construction accounting experience required.

Hands-on experience with AIA progress billings required.

Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Experience with construction or project-based ERP systems (COINS, Sage, Vista, etc.).

LOCATION (Onsite/Hybrid):
Irvine, CA
OFFICE HOURS:
7 AM – 4 PM
SCHEDULE:
8 Hrs Daily, 5 days a week
COMPANY BENEFITS INCLUDE:
COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:
$65,000-$90,000 annually plus performance bonus, based on skillset and experience level.
