The San Deigo office of Anderson Howard has an immediate need for an Electrical BIM detailer (Revit Modeler/Detailer) with comprehensive BIM modeling software skills to create detailed and accurate electrical models with varying LOD. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use Revit (and additional software) to model NEC code-compliant electrical equipment, conduit systems, supports/seismic bracing, light fixtures, cable tray and wall devices for an MEP coordination environment.

• Use Navisworks for MEP coordination on projects and to generate/resolve clash detection and constructability conflicts.

• Understanding of the hierarchy of all project disciplines in a MEP coordination environment.

• Prepare and revise drawings in REVIT with minimal supervision and ensure all drawings comply with project and company standards.

• MUST be able to read/interpret MEP Drawings.

• Review all project deliverables provided by other team members to ensure all information is correctly annotated and represented while complying with project and NEC requirements.

• Receive guidance on design interpretation related to layout specifications and procedures.

• Calculate allowances, dimensions, etc., within procedural and standard process limitations.

• Prepare basic system wiring configurations and project submittal drawings.

• Maintain project drawing files, drawing library, and associated records and documentation in accordance with company standards.

• Other tasks include the creation of schematics and equipment schedules, managing file locations, names, file layers, etc.

• Perform other related duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years Revit software experience

• Familiarity with NavisWorks and clash detection for trade coordination. 2 years experience preferably.

• Ability to read architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and create floor plans, sectionals and details with minimal supervision.

• Ability to read and comprehend project specifications for all disciplines.

• Ability to understand and modify standard details for project-specific applications.

• Ability to adhere to schedules and meet deadlines.

• Capable of creating CAD details from red-lined drawings.

• Field electrical background with supervisory experience is highly desired.

• Ability to remain calm and focused in a demanding environment
